Sustainability Commitment
Sustainable environmental practices have always been at the heart of our work. We take responsibility for the footprint in our supply chain and processes as the first step towards minimizing the effects of climate change. Our goal is to understand the environmental impact of our operations and work collaboratively with our clients to make informed and meaningful decisions about their events. We partner with vendors, food suppliers, and organizations who share our commitment to sustainability and spreading knowledge in the events industry. We have designed a flow chart to track our approach, starting from purchasing ingredients and utilizing local vendors, to using biodegradable service ware and minimizing waste.
Our Flow Chart:
Executive Summary: Corporate Responsibility, Environmental & Sustainability Policy
At our core, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, sourcing responsibly, conserving resources, and investing in people and communities. Below is a brief overview of our sustainability efforts and ongoing initiatives:
Key Initiatives:
Zero-Waste Commitment
Our target is zero waste to landfill by the end of 2024. We recycle all waste, including food, plastics, and cardboard, and partner with local growers and suppliers to compost food waste. Additionally, we recycle used cooking oil into biofuel and employ dedicated waste management teams for large events.
Responsible Sourcing
We prioritize sustainable, seasonal, and locally produced ingredients. Our menus feature high-quality plant-based options, heritage meats, free-range poultry, and sustainably sourced seafood. Single-use service ware is avoided, and eco-friendly packaging is used wherever possible.
Water Conservation
We have implemented water-saving measures in our kitchens, upgraded appliances, and filter our own reusable bottled water for events. Each bottle contributes to water charity initiatives, helping communities in need.
Repurposing & Circular Economy
Ingredients, props, and event décor are repurposed wherever possible. Potted plants replace cut flowers, and compost is created from plant waste. Equipment and décor are repainted, reused, or upcycled to minimize waste.
Investment in People
Our diverse and inclusive workforce is supported through a modern Diversity, Equality & Inclusion policy, regular training, and team-building activities. We ensure ethical labor practices, pay a living wage, and provide a safe working environment.
Community Engagement
We partner with social enterprises and charities, offering employment opportunities and support for underprivileged individuals. Collaborations with local colleges and farmers help strengthen the community and promote sustainable practices.
